Igloo!

I built an igloo. The last time I tried this I was about eleven, and I just hollowed out a big pile of snow. I could sort of get inside. This time, I made big snow bricks using recycling bins as molds. It took me about seven hours spread over two days, but the igloo is about 7 feet in diameter inside. Definitely worth it.

My dad and I are planning on sleeping in it tomorrow night - christmas eve. Update: we did.

The end of day one.

Sleeping in it!

Two sleeping bags each kept us pretty warm.

Christmas morning visitors!

We didn't plan this. I promise.

Toasty warm at thirty degrees.

Glasses holder!

You can see the needle is slightly left of 30 degrees. It eventually stopped moving left at 10, which means that my igloo was twenty degrees warmer inside than outside.

Temperatures came up quickly, and this is all that remained of the igloo on the morning of the 31st.
